Hospitality

For the Diploma in hospitality your course will look at 3 main areas:

  1. The hospitality industry: Introducing the UK hospitality industry and customer service
  2. People in the hospitality industry: Developing skills to work in the hospitality industry
  3. Hospitality operations: Preparing and serving food and beverages

If you’re doing a Higher or Advanced Diploma, you’ll also be looking at Business and Finance in Hospitality as well as other areas like human resources, front of house, facilities and events management and much more. You might explore loyalty incentive schemes and business plans, customer service and its impact on a business.

 

In Cheltenham

This diploma is being offered at Level 2 from September 2010.

What really makes this a great qualification to take is that you will have a minimum of 10 days work experience out in the industry, but you will also be working in some of the most modern and catering facilities in the country, including the Renaissance Restaurant at the Cheltenham campus of Gloucestershire College.
